Product Description

The ABB System pro M compact S200 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 20A with a Type B tripping characteristic, sized for general distribution circuits where fast disconnection on short-circuit fault is required. It carries a 6 kA short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) at 400V AC per IEC/EN 60898-1, and is also certified to IEC/EN 60947-2 and UL 1077/CSA 22.2 No. 235, so the same unit covers both IEC and UL/CSA installations — 480Y/277V AC or 110V DC on the UL/CSA rating, with 6 kA AC / 10 kA DC interrupting capacity.

Build quality follows ABB's standard S200 series construction: IP20 finger-proof twin terminals that accept cable up to 35 mm², a 35 mm DIN rail mount to EN 60715, and a real CPI (contact position indicator) that shows a clear red/green flag so panel status can be checked visually without opening the enclosure. Mechanical endurance is rated at 20,000 operating cycles, with an ambient operating range of -25°C to +55°C (storage -40°C to +70°C) and 250V AC phase-to-ground / 500V AC phase-to-phase insulation voltage.

Each pole measures 88 x 69 x 17.5 mm, keeping the breaker compact enough for standard distribution boards and control panel layouts. The S200 platform accepts ABB's auxiliary and signal contact blocks, shunt trip and undervoltage release accessories, and motor operating devices, so protection and remote or automated control can be added to the same breaker without changing the base unit.

Supplied by Z&F Corporation as part of the ABB System pro M compact range — for exact lead time, certification documents, or accessory compatibility for your specific installation, contact our technical sales team.

Frequently Asked Questions

The trip curve — how many times the rated current has to flow before it trips instantly. Type B trips at 3–5×, Type C at 5–10×, and Type D at 10–20×, so the right choice depends on the inrush current of what's connected.
