Product Description
The Apollo Valves 17-402-04 is a bronze safety relief valve from the 17-400 series, with a 3/4 in MNPT x FNPT connection and a 150 PSIG set pressure. Verified against Apollo/Conbraco's own 17-400 series documentation, this valve is certified to ASME Section IV for hot water heating and supply boilers and storage tanks, and CSA certified to ANSI Z21.22 for pressure settings from 75 through 150 psi at up to 250°F.
Construction uses a cast bronze body, a durable soft seat, and a stainless steel spring, and the 17-400 series is engineered specifically to protect against excess pressure build-up from thermal expansion in hot water supply systems — a common requirement on residential and light-commercial water heating installations as well as small process hot water systems.
